Our menu has been stirred by Nigel's experiences in the catering industry. He was head chef at The Walnut Tree one of the most famous restaurants of its day. Situated near Abergavenny, it was here working with Franco Taruschio that Nigel began cooking, which was seasonal and local, long before the words became fashionable.
 
He spent the very early part of his career in the Lake District working with John Tovey at Miller Howe. A hotel, which was famed for the quality of its board and singled out for it’s pioneering and innovating cuisine.
 
Here at the Swan we only use produce in season and our menu reflects this. It changes almost daily and is influenced by the fresh ingredients available from our local butcher, fish, or vegetable suppliers.
 
The Swan is open for lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and for lunch on Sunday. We are closed on Sunday evenings and all day Monday except for Bank Holiday Monday when we are open for lunch.
